You're invited to our special Human Rights Day Lunch and Learn.

At this event to celebrate Universal Human Rights Day, Dr. Aaron Hunsberger, UMUC professor, will present a no-cost seminar on how human rights have affected children internationally through time. Join us for this special lunchtime event. The entire community is welcome; refreshments will be served.

Dr. Hunsberger is a social psychologist whose career has focused on human well-being. His early career involved working with charities, providing therapy on a wide range of issues such as mental disorders and addiction, raising public awareness for social issues relating to homelessness, and consulting with media and government. Academically, he earned a BSc, MSc, and PhD in the field of psychology from Lancaster University, England, writing his doctoral dissertation on the role of group identity in how people are perceived as human. Today, Dr. Hunsberger remains an active researcher, focusing on ways that group identity, thinking, and attitudes influence ethics and human rights within a variety of social contexts.

This spring, Dr. Hunsberger will be teaching BEHS 343 Parenting Today at Spangdahlem.
